Chronology
A Montana ranching family faces off against other people encroaching on their land. Forty J. Smith, who plays Lloyd, is a seasoned rodeo veteran. John Dutton (Kevin Costner) frequently "forgets" his Montanan accent and drifts back into his usual SoCal speaking voice. Featured on WatchMojo: Top 10 Summer TV Shows Not on Your Radar (2018) Yellowstone is a tightly written drama – great characters, well-crafted – that takes its tone from several different modern-day masterpieces. It has the feel and cinematography of Longmire, the plot and gritty outlook of The Sopranos, and the dramatic dynamics of shows like ‘Dynasty’; or any other network drama like it. Much credit goes to Costner and Cole Hauser – these guys bring it 100%. I didn’t expect to be as captivated by this show as I was. It’s worth your time.
