I was reluctant to watch this due to the lack of common sense in most of today’s TV shows
When maple syrup farmer Ruth Landry finds her livelihood under attack from greedy competitors who were once her friends, she hatches a plan to get revenge and shake up the entire industry. Loosely based on the 2011-2012 theft of $18 million worth of maple syrup from a storage facility in Quebec; five people were sentenced to prison.
But I’m glad I did
These are 30 minute episodes that are goofy, kitschy, funny, dramatic, and engaging. Likeable characters and light entertainment.
A couple of cliffhangers to end the series nicely
I’ve watched all 6 episodes and am looking forward to season 2. I recommend watching this and it’s a perfect fit for a half hour show.
The French soundtrack is also catchy
Any longer and it would have dragged on. I’m going to look it up on YouTube music.
