Jude Law in "Skeleton Crew" plus other stars from a galaxy far, far away
Chronology
Four children make a mysterious discovery on their home planet that leads them to become lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy. The holographic circus that entertains Neel’s young siblings is the same one Chewbacca’s family watches in the infamous The Star Wars Holiday Special (1978).
in the Crazy Cartoon Cast AniMat: Stupid Old Death Bear (2022)
I approach this review with caution, acknowledging that "Skeleton Crew" seems to be aimed at a younger audience. While kids may enjoy it, I found the first four episodes to be rather unimaginative.
The war backdrop feels superficial, and the action sequences lack the impact they should have
The story lacks depth, feeling more like a children’s movie that jumps from place to place without much consequence. The acting, while not terrible, could be stronger, especially considering the quality of some of the cast.
Jude Law even seems to be calling the shots at times
The production design is impressive, but it can’t save a story that feels slow and ultimately quite forgettable. Maybe the series will improve later, but based on my first viewing, I remain unconvinced.
